Cinnamon Apple Smoothie Recipe
Here’s a smoothie that’s full of cosy spiced, naturally sweet flavour: the perfect Cinnamon Apple Smoothie! This one works anytime and in any season. But of course, it’s perfect for autumn when you might have mounds of apples to use up.
In fact, it’s a healthy way to enjoy the flavours of apple pie or apple crumble! Cinnamon and vanilla are just the right complement to the sweet-tart fruit. It’s also loaded with protein from Greek yoghurt, which gives it just the right creamy texture. You’ll almost feel like you’re drinking an apple pie milkshake…but a wholesome version!
- 1 scoop BodyFuel (PowerPack can be used)
- 1 large or 2 small apples
- 1 ripe banana (room temperature or frozen)
- ½ cup Greek yoghurt
- ¼ cup almond milk or oat milk
- 4 ice cubes
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional: ½ tablespoon maple syrup or honey
Chop the apple. Place all ingredients in a blender, breaking the banana into pieces. If desired, garnish with cinnamon and pecan nuts, as we have! Serve immediately or store in a covered jar in the refrigerator for 1 day.
